I am a 5th degree Black Belt and certified instructor with the ATA (American Taekwondo Association). I started Taekwondo when I was in the 8th grade. I actually started under the USTF (United States Taekwondo Federation) and worked my through the program to earn my 1st Degree Black Belt. I enjoyed passing along my knowledge and starting teaching. I ranked all the way up to my 3rd degree black belt, but it did not work out with my instructor. I stopped training and focused on college degree and career. When I was let go from my job, I found a new job in my career field of accounting and I decided to get back into Taekwondo. I found Davenport’s ATA in Webster, TX. I started training again under Laura Davenport and she honored my rank as 3rd degree black belt. I communicated my goal of having my own school. I worked and became a certified instructor with the ATA and ranked up to 4th Degree Black Belt. I became State Champion in Combat Weapons in 2017. Mrs. Davenport decided to retire, and I took over her club on January 1, 2019. I am currently working towards ranking up to 6th Degree Black Belt and Mastership.
